We need change!!!!!

The art of progress is to preserve order amid change and to preserve change amid order.
Change is the only element of life which is constant. Though it sounds contradictory, it is true. Change is the most important element of life. It is this change that defines life. Had there been no change, life would have become still. We can see that change occurs in all natural phenomenon’s such as weather and time. Change is also a vital element in any relationship. If there are no alternating periods of highs and lows then any relationship will become stagnant. Change keeps the relationship and life going and gives reasons for living. Only within the moment of time represented by the present century has one species -- man -- acquired significant power to alter the nature of his world.
As a student, I’ve experience so many in my high school life, now that I am graduating I want some showbiz talk to say base from my experiences. I want a little bit change from the behavior of some science class students, first was the selfishness of the some students because they only knew their classmates when they need something to them and after they had taken all the need they want they just leave them in the air like a doll that they thrown away to the garbage can. And lastly I want to change the manners of some students that they are so social climbing persons to their teachers in order to get some high grades and I don’t like the most was they good attitudes in front of their teachers but the truth is there are backstabbing them when they did not get the grades they want from them that they do not totally deserve. I can’t blame them for doing that because I’ve experience that  and do same things sometimes but I want to Change cause I know “Things do not change, we change.

Reflection

”Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.
Learning is the process of acquiring knowledge or skill through study, experience or teaching. It is a process that depends on experience and leads to long-term changes in behavior potential. Behavior potential describes the possible behavior of an individual (not actual behavior) in a given situation in order to achieve a goal. Learning is changes in a system that results in improved performance over time on tasks similar to those done previously.
Every one of us can commit mistakes that can fall to a problem that we must solve like in mathematics that every problem needs a solution. When time comes that I encounter such problems like in my family, friends or so what ever. I’ll just sit on a place where no one else can see me and a place that I can express my true feelings, a place I can meditate, reminisce and cry all the hatred I feel in my heart in order to forget all this Harding’s in my life. Because my life is such like a dark place even light I cannot not see, it’s like hell, and I’m such a loner but one day I saw a man in an edge coated with a so bright light that even his face I cannot see. I asked who he is but he didn’t answer. He carries me. But then again I found out that it’s Jesus Christ holding me tight because he knows that I cannot do it anymore. He gave me strength to live, enjoy and discover the flavor of life again.
I learned to develop a passion of learning. If you do it too, you will never cease to grow.

Promoting English Literacy through English Proficiency

“Learn your language well and command it well, and you will have the first component to life."

Language proficiency or linguistic proficiency is the ability of an individual to speak or perform in an acquired language. As theories vary among pedagogues as to what constitutes proficiency, there is little consistency as to how different organizations classify it. Additionally, fluency and language competence are generally recognized as being related, but separate controversial subjects. In predominant frameworks in the United States, proficient speakers demonstrate both accuracy and fluency, and use a variety of discourse strategies. Thus, native speakers of a language can be fluent without being considered proficient.
The American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) distinguishes between proficiency and performance. In part, ACTFL's definition of proficiency is derived from mandates issued by the US government, declaring that a limited English proficient student is one who comes from a non-English background and "who has sufficient difficulty speaking, reading, writing, or understanding the English language and whose difficulties may deny such an individual the opportunity to learn successfully in classrooms where the language of instruction is English or to participate fully in our society."
ACTFL views "performance" as being the combined effect of all three modes of communication: interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational.
Nationwide, the percentage of pupils mastering reading/writing increased from 59.0% in 1995 to 61.6% in 1998. Males and females had essentially the same rate of increase between 1995 and 1998), but the percentage of females (64.4% in 1995 and 66.9% in 1998) was greater than that of the males (53.4% in 1995 and 56.2% in 1998) during both years.

There was practically no improvement in the urban areas; in contrast, there was a significant improvement in the rural areas. In terms of the percentage of students mastering reading/writing, the urban areas nevertheless had an edge over the rural areas in 1995 (urban:64.2%; rural:51.7%) and in 1998 (urban:64.5%; rural:57.7%).

Females performed better than males in the urban areas in 1995; however, the situation was reversed in 1998 owing to the combination of the increase in the percentage of males and the big drop in the female percentage between the two years. Although males and females posted increases between 1995 and 1998, females maintained their edge over the males.

The poor and the affluent are not communicating because they do not have the same words. When we talk of the millions who are culturally deprived, we refer not to those who do not have access to good libraries and bookstores, or to museums and centers for the performing arts, but those deprived of the words with which everything else is built, the words that open doors. Children without words are licked before they start. The legion of the young wordless in urban and rural slums, eight to ten years old, do not know the meaning of hundreds of words which most middle-class people assume to be familiar to much younger children. Most of them have never seen their parents read a book or a magazine, or heard words used in other than rudimentary ways related to physical needs and functions. Thus is cultural fallout caused, the vicious circle of ignorance and poverty reinforced and perpetuated. Children deprived of words become school dropouts; dropouts deprived of hope behave delinquently. Amateur censors blame delinquency on reading immoral books and magazines, when in fact, the inability to read anything is the basic trouble.”

CHEMERGY: Chemistry and Science Clubbing in Synergy

Chemergy is a neologism (new word) upspring for Science Month in the Philippines. Although meant to be a kenning of "chemistry" and "synergy" with the meaning of "combination of ideas in chemistry and science for a common result", the roots of the words do not show this.
chem = chemistry and ergy = work “
Thus, the real meaning of chemergy from the roots is more something akin to chemical-work.
Chemergy, when we say chemergy it is the combined word of "Chemistry" and the Science clubbing of "Synergy"
Chemistry has a reputation for being a complicated and boring science, but for the most part, that reputation is undeserved. Fireworks and explosions are based on chemistry, so it's definitely not a boring science. If you take classes in chemistry, you'll apply math and logic, which can make studying chemistry a challenge if you are weak in those areas. However, anyone can understand the basics of how things work... and that's the study of chemistry. In a nutshell, the importance of chemistry is that it explains the world around you.
Chemistry explains how food changes as you cook it, how it rots, how to preserve food, how your body uses the food you eat, and how ingredients interact to make food.Part of the importance of chemistry is it explains how cleaning works. You use chemistry to help decide what cleaner is best for dishes, laundry, yourself, and your home. You use chemistry when you use bleaches and disinfectants and even ordinary soap and water. How do they work? That's chemistry! You need to understand basic chemistry so you can understand how vitamins, supplements, and drugs can help or harm you. Part of the importance of chemistry lies in developing and testing new medical treatments and medicines.
Chemistry is at the heart of environmental issues. What makes one chemical a nutrient and another chemical a pollutant? How can you clean up the environment? What processes can produce the things you need without harming the environment?
We're all chemists. We use chemicals every day and perform chemical reactions without thinking much about them. Chemistry is important because everything you do is chemistry! Even your body is made of chemicals. Chemical reactions occur when you breathe, eat, or just sit there reading. All matter is made of chemicals, so the importance of chemistry is that it's the study of everything.
Everyone can and should understand basic chemistry, but it may be important to take a course in chemistry or even make a career out of it. It's important to understand chemistry if you are studying any of the sciences because all of the sciences involve matter and the interactions between types of matter. Students wanting to become doctors, nurses, physicists, nutritionists, geologists, pharmacists, and (of course) chemists all study chemistry. You might want to make a career of chemistry because chemistry-related jobs are plentiful and high-paying. The importance of chemistry won't be diminished over time, so it will remain a promising career path.

MY INTIMATE ACQUAINTANCE , MY HERO!

AS I GLIMPSE THE SKY
I ALWAYS WONDER WHY
IF THERE’S A HERO TO FLY
WHY DO I NEED TO CRY

SHE’S THE SAVIOR OF HUMAN NATURE
OF EVERY OBSTACLES THAT TORTURE
FOR THE SAKE OF THE FUTURE
IN THIS WORLD THAT FULL OF ADVENTURE

SHE RESPECTS YOU
SO YOU MUST RESPECT HER, TOO
SHE’S NOT A FOE
BUT AN INTIMATE ACQUAINTANCE  FOR YOU

AN ANGEL WHO HAS FALLEN
TO OUR LAND FROM HEAVEN
SHE’S HERE TO SAVE THE CITIZENS
THAT GOD HAS GIVEN

MY LIFE ,I OWE
AS THE RIVERS  FLOW
YOU WASH AWAY AND BLOW
MY GRIEF, MY EXTREME SORROW

MY HEROINE

To a woman who has raised a children, given birth to a child, and supplied the ovum that grew into a child.  To the complexity and differences of a mother's social, cultural, and religious definitions and roles, it is challenging to define a mother like you to suit a universally accepted definition.
Touch my heart, and you will feel. Listen to my heart and you will hear. Look to my heart and you will see that you’re always a special Mom for me. Thanks for your guidance and care since the day I was born. I will gather all the stars fresh with dew and wrap them in the sunset’s blush just to prove how much I love, treasure and cherish  you Mom. Thanks for all!! You’re my Demigod, my Heroine, my No.1 Mom. I love you Mama.<3
I thank God ,I’m rich, not with money but a mother like you. I may not have the most expensive things but I’ve got the most precious GEM….A MOTHER like YOU!
I will always love you today; tomorrow and after forever!!!
Mother,
You’ve given me two things
One is roots
The other’s wings

PNOY’S SONA

“Tapusin na po natin ang kultura ng negatibismo, iangat natin ang kapwa-Pilipino sa bawat pagkakataon”
It’s just one o f the statement of our President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino. Yes it’s true that this is just one of his statements but if you read and read and think of it over and analize it and bear it in your mind , it really sucks and have so many meaning in our life to upgrade our country and be one of the progressive  country . Last July 2 5 , President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino thought his State of the Nation Address. He thought all about what he have done for the whole year and I realize that he have done so many things to upgrade our country and his trying his best just to improve our country.
Being a leader is not easy . He can’t make change in just one blink of your eyes , he need more time to make  it and grant it one by one bcause his just a man not a God . We must give him a chance to prove that he deserves to be the leader.

Isulong ang Breastfeeding; Tama , Sapat at Eksklusibo

Breastfeeding is one of the best ways in making the good health of a young infant in order to protect them from diseases.
Breastfeeding is the best feeding of an infant young child to get the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development. It provides the perfect nutrition for babies and provides many health benefits. We all know that the breast milk of a mother is healthier than the commercial one. It is more cheap than the expensive commercial milk and if you breastfeed you can save as much as 2000 pesos a month. It also provides protection against infections. It reduces the risk of acute infections like diarrhea, pneumonia, ear infection, influenza, meningitis, and urinary tract infections. It promotes also child development, protects from allergies, enhances intelligence and many more.
Lets shove breastfeeding for the sake of young infants health and future they will have in the next generation.

Dear Mr. President,

First of all Sir, I would like to greet you a good day ahead.

It’s a pleasure to me to have the chance to write something and inform you about our problems and hear our cries about what we want to change in our own native land. First Sir, I would like to talk about the things we need in our public school, we are lacking of books that really affects the performance of the students in order to coop up and go on with the discussion of the teacher. We really need books Sir so that we are not going to computer shops just to research our assignments and projects. I would like also to tell about that the salaries of teachers must increase because they do much work in order to make a successful person. Without teachers there will be no professionals today in our native country. Another thing also Sir is that there are many students now who are smoking and going to computer shops during class hours that really affects their behavior and grades in class. This problem must stop now, so I wish Sir that you’ll make a program and implement it in order to stop such problems like this.

You have my trust Sir because I know that you have the power and intelligence to make “CHANGE” in our country. And I hope also Sir that you will response to our cries and make the move to change our country. Thank you very much Sir and God bless.

Truly yours,
Guada Pauline Q.  Remorin
